To stick with the story aspect I thought of including a multitude of planeswalkers that Bolas has manipulated, but most are too expensive or are Tezeret, where I wonвЂ™t have enough artifacts to make worthwhile. Grixis has this weird place where there a always too many spells and not enough creatures, so advice IвЂ™m asking for is good creatures to fit the early game.

I like to start the race on the gun, building up. I donвЂ™t like my opponents doing stuff that threatens me. The trouble I have is not in the Endgame, but the sit-back, patient, part. I really like BolasвЂ™s philosophy: build up and strike hard, think ahead and make other do your bidding, use your opponents as means to their end. I also find the God Pharaoh version to be the best one, and Dragon-God is far too powerful and would draw too much attention. HeвЂ™ll be the only one excluded from the deck at the moment (until he rotates from standard). Now why the planeswalker and not the flippy one? Cuz IвЂ™m cheap. For a while I have wanted to make a deck around him, and I think now is my chance to introduce a Nicol Bolas EDH deck to my playgroup, due to our meta being relaxed, my general will be none other than Nicol Bolas God-Pharaoh. He is patient and thoughtful, but undoubtedly swift and furious. He is cunning and collected, but ruthless and evil. Bolas has long been one of my favorite characters in Magic.
